I thought it would be a great idea to have an Unsigned Hype segment on the blog:
to start it off is this rapper from Kimberely (home to Pro-Verb as well) To be honest Ive known of Krossword for a few years now and had never heard him like this... I had listened to his past works but this is a 180* turn for me and my view of him. He recenty teamed up Blaqk Records with my dude Nkululeko (bonafide hustler & hardworker) & there has been some serious changes in his sound... Check out this snippet track that convinced me that HE IS THE NEXT RAPPER TO LOOK OUT FOR.

Born as Tsepo Mtwana, Krossword is a rap artist from Kimberley, the most prominent one in the small Kimberley Hip Hop Scene. In 2004 he was a member of a crew called Grimey Bandits, and that is when he started recording music. He decided to go solo in 2006 and released his first solo mix tape in Kimberley, titled "Kryptik vol.1". This mix tape made him a household name in the Kimberley hip hop scene; it set the standards for mix tapes that would follow. It is considered a classic by hip hop heads in Kimberley who still listen to it and draw inspiration from it today. He then released the follow up in 2007, Kryptik vol.2, his single "closer" from this mix tape received a lot of airplay from local radio station, Radio Teemaneng, only 100 units of this mix tape were printed and all sold out within 2 weeks
In 2008, Krossword and Rythmik formed a duo and called themselves Skriptomaniakz, they have released a mix tape, "Mental Asylum" which is only available over the net on www.soundclick.com/skriptomaniakz. In 2009, Krossword moved to Johannesburg to pursuit his dream of being a household name in the national and international market. In February 2010 he released a mixtape titled, Warning Shotz, the project did not receive the attention it deserved, so Kross decided to work on new tracks with plans to push it in the mainstream and shoot some music videos, this project is titled, Warning Shotz: Reloaded.
