Well as you know; on Monday 30 May, Hip Hop Power Nights was supposed to have a telephonic interview with world famous producer and musician; Timbaland. This interview had been confirmed the previous Friday and it was on everyone’s lips..... ehm until I dropped the bombshell at the last hour that Timbaland was no longer gonna be joining us… Id also just been informed (you can imagine my disappointment)
This is not the first time artists come to the country and behave like their shit don’t smell and the promoters are usually so heavy under the hypnotic spell of the particular celebrity they don’t often see it when we’re being taken for a ride.
We buy your albums and support your lavish lifestyles but you cannot spare a lousy few minutes doing an interview, signing an autograph, or perhaps just listening to someone asking for your advice or help. Get your head out your ass! There have been situations where American artists are treated like royalty and our local ones like 3rd class citizens, lets learn to treat ourselves with respect before others and we would’ve earned it back 10 fold, real-talk!
