South African Awards The Winners

I went on stage to grab iFani's award on his behalf.

The first ever South African Hip Hop Awards took place this past wednesday at the Alexndris Theatre in Braamfontein Johannesburg. I went to present the Song Of The Year category which was scooped up by Reason for "Do It Like I Can". It was a full house from veterans to swagg rappers... Days leading up to the event the awards were marred in controversy (what hip hop be without drama). It was the same old; "why was/wasn't he/she nominated for this or that award?" BS. AKA pullin out of the awards made the most noise, with his side accusing SAHHA of informing them late of the voting procedures etc. I asked members of the SAHHA organization about and they tell a different story. "AKA and them were told about the awards and voting process weeks ago.' said a member. The hosts a white Skhothane & a guy called J-Bhoboza were the main entertainment & they did a BRILLIANT job.
